Hypothesis (Prediction)
rWhat the student believes that he/she will find out; a smart guess or prediction. Please use cause and effect.
A hypothesis is an EDUCATED guess at what will happen when you run your experiment. You must use your background research to EDUCATE yourself first - THEN make a prediction.
ALWAYS include the reason why you made the prediction - this is cause and effect!
Examples:
I predict that my solar panel will be more efficient because it rotates with the sun.
I hypothesize that classical music will not help plants grow faster because plants do not have ears.
I predict that chewing gum will increase test scores because it decreases nervousness.
